Nexus 10 Pogo Charger

Update (1/24/2013): The pogo charger is now available here!

Update (1/4/2013): It appears that the auction for the pogo charger has been taken down for good, we’ll post updates as we receive them!

The first Nexus 10 pogo charger has finally made it to market, which is huge news for all Nexus 10 owners.

This pogo charger is going to allow you to charge your Nexus 10 to charge almost 25% faster than the standard Micro USB charger will allow.  This means you can do graphic intensive work while charging without draining the battery faster than it can be charged.

They’ve also included an OVP chip for over-charge protection, to make sure your battery doesn’t get fried for charging for too long.  The cable itself is 4 feet long, and it plugs in to the AC adapter that came with your Nexus 10.  There’s also a magnet on the head of the cable to keep it attached to the Nexus 10 when charging, which is very good thinking on their part.

I think this is a must-buy for any Nexus 10 owner.  The only reason it wouldn’t be, was if you were waiting for the official pogo charger, which is understandable.

This item ships directly from South Korea, so there may be a shipping delay, but the price is right on point with what we’d expect, all things considered.

Very tempting but an official charger cannot be too far behind. I may force myself to wait. I do thing it should have been available at launch though.

I ordered one of these and received an email from ebay advising that the item had been removed and I was advised to request a refund via the buyer protection programme. I received my refund within the usual timeframes but BONUS – RECEIVED THE CABLE ANYWAY!

It really is much faster than the usb, and with the added security of knowing I won’t break the port if I accidentally yank it, I’m very happy!
